Choosing a Topic

The MOST IMPORTANT guide in choosing a topic is that YOU must be interested in the topic.  If you are not interested in the topic, you will not complete your paper.  Please do not choose a topic that you think a faculty member will like.  I typically read 25-40 research papers a semester (including the courses I teach, my professional reading, and articles that I review for various journals).  I may not even like your topic...that's OK!  In addition to choosing a topic that interest you...you need to choose a topic that is related to your field of study - - Applied Technology, Training and Development.  To help you in this effort, you might want to review the:
